Zimbabwe Corners Bangladesh by six runs

Shakib Al Hasan put in an encompassing exhibition, yet his rejection kickstarted a memorable Bangladesh cave in that saw Zimbabwe grab a six-run triumph in the first Twenty20 global at Queens Sports Club.

Shakib's 2 for 20 with the ball had limited Zimbabwe to 168 for five, yet his 65 from 40 conveyances neglected to carry a resolve boosting score when Bangladesh lost five wickets for 23 runs in 19 conveyances.

In spite of the fact that skipper Mushfiqur Rahim's 28-run rush undermined to take his side over the line, he tumbled to the first wad of the last over and Bangladesh fulfilled on 162 for eight.

"We panicked into the final moments there and sadly we failed to measure up," mentor Shane Jurgensen said. "At the begin of the diversion we supposed 160 or 170 was a standard score and the players did an exceptional work of getting an exceptional begin, yet tragically we can't fulfill it off."

Hamilton Masakadza's free-streaming half-century had secured Zimbabwe's innings, which likewise reveled in commitments from Brendan Taylor at the highest point of the innings and Malcolm Waller at the closure.

Masakadza hit 59 from 48 balls and was decently backed by Taylor in a 74-run stand for the second wicket, which finished when the commander holed out for 40.

Even though Masakadza goes up his own particular scoring rate after Taylor's takeoff an in number finalize was needed, which Waller gave when he hit the last chunk of the innings for six to complete on 26 not out from 14 conveyances.

Zimbabwe's sum did not look as though it might be enough when Shakib put on 118 for the second wicket with Shamsur Rahman, who made 53 in his first match of the tour.

However Prosper Utseya adapted the amusement when he disposed of both batsmen in the same over, soon after two run-outs in fast succession gave Bangladesh a recognizable sinking feeling.

"We've dependably felt against Bangladesh that it doesn't bring much to put them down," Masakadza said thereafter.

Bangladesh will have an instantaneous chance to give penance for their lapses on Sunday, when the crews come back to the same venue for the second and last Twenty20 global.
